INNOVATION LAB

Bose tests the operator consequence before the feature

Our lab workflow connects a cabinet change to service time, guest throughput, payout control and staff behavior before it reaches a live floor.

CURRENT WORKBENCH

Three prototypes under operator review

SERVICE

Guided fault isolation

Can a trained floor lead identify a common reader or ticket-path issue without unsafe disassembly?

Evidence: task time, wrong-part rate and escalation quality.

ECONOMICS

Payout change preview

Can operators see the estimated cost-of-goods effect before publishing a ticket-setting change?

Evidence: variance between forecast and actual payout.

FLOOR FLOW

Attraction state signal

Can a simple status cue reduce guest uncertainty without adding visual noise to the venue?

Evidence: abandoned starts and staff interventions.

PILOT DISCIPLINE

Every test begins with a failure condition.

We define the decision, baseline and stop rule before a pilot. That keeps a promising demo from being mistaken for a scalable operating improvement.

Reproducible field protocol: record a 7-day baseline and a 7-day test using the same opening-hour window and cabinet bank. Export starts, fault events, technician minutes and ticket output daily; retain configuration IDs and exclude documented venue closures. Another operator can repeat the same sequence with its own target thresholds.

Frame

One operator problem, one accountable owner.

Instrument

Observable event and reproducible measurement.

Pilot

Limited floor scope with rollback path.

Decide

Scale, revise or stop with documented evidence.
